GrayVolt started at our own machine. We wanted to balance a CNC spindle, and everything that could actually do the job cost thousands of dollars, priced for maintenance departments, not for a machinist chasing a better surface finish. So we built the balancer we couldn’t buy: real single-plane balancing at a price a working shop can justify.
The Vibration Analyzer spun out of that work. You can’t balance what you can’t measure, so the measurement side had to be solved first, and once it was solid it deserved to be its own product at its own price.
What we refused to do is trade performance for price. The sensor is an automotive-qualified 6-axis IMU sampling at 6.66 kHz, and the balancing uses the same influence-coefficient method the professional rigs run. The math is the same. The markup is not.
Staying small is part of the design. There’s no support tier between you and the people who wrote the firmware. Feedback lands directly, and fixes ship fast.
